Experience the Moroccan Sahara Desert on a 5-day shooting stars tour, Enjoy the diversity of the dramatic landscape that southern Morocco has to offer, taste some great local cuisine, follows the path of Paris-Dakar along the desert landscapes, Embark on a Saharan adventure to a camel ride through the stunning dunes. Shoot the stars on the dunes at night, get a full feel of the unbelievable glory of the massive canyon walls at Todra gorges and explore the scene for many Hollywood hits at Ait benhadou Kasbah.

Day 1 : Marrakech → Ouarzazate → Roses valley → Todra Gorges.

We’ll start our exciting day by picking you up from your Hotel/Riad at 8:00 AM then hit the road! We will climb through the dramatic Tizi n’Tichka pass which reaches an altitude of 2260 M! On route to Ouarzazate “the Hollywood of Africa”, we’ll journey through the High Atlas mountains passing via Berber villages and beautiful landscapes. We will stop in Ouarzazate for lunch, maybe it’s time to try some great local cuisine. Later on, drive through the “Road of the Thousand Kasbahs”- seeing the fascinating “Sand castles”. Stop at Kalaat Mgouna. “Rose’s Kastel” known for roses and its annual festival during the roses harvest in May. Then continue to our hotel in the heart of the Dades Gorge where we will have dinner and a cozy night in the Hotel.

Day 2 : Todra Gorges → Berber villages → Mharech Gorges.

You will start your day with breakfast in the hotel before we drive back through the impressive canyons of Todra. Then towards Mharech Gorges passing through Alnif town. Not far after, we will stop for lunch in Kasbah Meteorites, time for some refreshing local cuisine and juice. Later on, we will drive through the Berber villages in southern of Morocco. The road runs alongside the canyons of Kam Kam and the trail of the ancient dinosaurs; Their remains still stand by many generations among the landscapes of Sahara. We’ll be able to meet local Berber tribes like Hassi Fougani and have a cup of mint tea. Later we will arrive into the Mharech Gorges for a peaceful overnight at authentic Riad Nomad.

Day 3 : Mharech → Ouzina → Jdayd → Taous → Merzouga.

After breakfast, start your departure crossing the sandy Oued Ghris, going past the villages hidden among the desert like Ramlia and Ouzina (lunch on the road). The track follows the path of Paris-Dakar along the desert landscapes to Taouz and its engraving stones. Carry on to Khamliya village (village of Gnaoua, famous for its unique music in the desert) with a stop for some mint tea in a musicians home. Afterwards, we’ll peacefully drive appreciating the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi dune. Here we’ll change our 4×4 for Camels to admire the sunset and spend the night among the dunes. Dinner and night in a comfortable nomad tents under the stars.

Day 4 : Merzouga → Rissani → Alnif → Agdez → Ouarzazate.

This morning will be an early one, you will rise up and hike up the dune in order to enjoy what may just be the best sunrise of your life. Afterwards, you will hop on your camel and trek throughout the spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes back to your hotel. After breakfast and a much needed shower at the hotel you will depart to Rissani. This is the ancient capital for the Alaouite Sultans and the most important market town for Sub-Sahara camel caravans, you will have a chance to visit the big Souk.

We will continue our way to Ouarzazate through the Draa Valley, one of the longest palm grove valleys in Morocco. Admire the charming adobe Kasbahs and Berber villages along the road. As we are heading up to Ouarzazate you will notice the interesting geological formations of the Draa Valley and Ait Saoun col. Get to our hotel early evening, dinner and night in the Hotel.

Day 5 : Ouarzazate → Ait Benhaddou → Marrakesh.

We will start with breakfast in our hotel before departing to visit Kasbah Taourirt ,a magnificent structure and a historical monument giving tribute to the Glaoui. We then visit the Studio Cinema before getting into Ait Benhaddou Kasbah which is located 30 kilometers from Ouarzazate, It’s an infamous kasbah and the scene for many Hollywood hits, Films such as Gladiator, The Mummy and Alexander were filmed in this UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will spend some time exploring and having a great local lunch. We then carry on to Marrakech passing through the High Atlas Mountains and Tizi ntichka. We arrive into Marrakech early for a relaxing night spent the Riad/Hotel.
